Christian Treatment Program in Dallas/Fort Worth
The Right Step Christian Spirit Program
Many who come from a Christian background do not know where to go when they need help with their addiction. They want a place where faith is openly explored and celebrated. Some come from faith backgrounds where they were hurt and confused about what they believe. They want healing in their lives where their Christian beliefs can once again be a source of hope, strength and destiny for their lives. Our program merges the healing streams of prayer, medicine and recovery to bring freedom to those held captive by the ravages of addiction and abuse. We chose the name Spirit to recognize the need for God's Spirit in the recovery process.
Ephesians 5:18 – "Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to self-indulgence. Instead be filled with the Spirit."
The Christian Spirit Program begins with daily morning devotions lead by Christian recovery advocates, process groups and individual sessions are lead by Christian counselors. Chaplains lead weekly men's and women's spirituality groups and present chapel services. The Clients will attend in-house and outside traditional and Christian 12-step groups while in treatment. Educational groups will include traditional and Christian recovery information to give the client the best of both programs when implementing their recovery plans. Some of the topics that will be covered will be forgiveness, shame and guilt, God's destiny for our lives, family dynamics, disease process, and relapse prevention to name a few. We view recovery as a life long daily process of Christian and personal growth. Clergy are welcome to visit members of their congregations in all of our programs when the client desires to involve them in their recovery.
